Where the System Ends, CAA Begins. We Built the College We Couldn't Find. CAA Story #32: Student Veronica L.

DeAnna Pursai • September 28, 2026

Veronica is an amazing student with a wicked sense of humor :)

For student Veronica L., CAA has been a place where she can continue to learn, move her body, and spend time with friends. She has been a student at CAA for the past four years, and over time, she has found that the classes available let her explore her various interests in a supportive environment.

Veronica is currently taking multiple classes in person, in addition to some virtually. She is completely responsible for registering for her own classes, her mom tells her when she can be on campus, and she picks which classes fit her interests.

For her in person classes, Veronica is currently taking Joyful Body Fitness, Contemporary and Cultural Dance, and Cheer Squad. Whether she is dancing, exercising, or practicing cheer, she enjoys the classes that allow her to get up and moving.

But her experience at CAA has been more than just about the classes, she loves the friendships she has made with her fellow students and professors. One of the things that she loves about the CAA community is the welcoming and supportive environment that encourages her to try new things.

After years at CAA, Veronica has formed a routine that shows others her growing independence. By signing up, and being responsible for her own classes, Veronica has found the courage to make her own choices and do things on her own.

Veronica loves the people she has met and the encouraging environment she experiences from everyone in the CAA community.
