Where the System Ends, CAA Begins. We Built the College We Couldn't Find. CAA Story #19: Student Haley L
Haley is a true creative: she loves art, photography, baking, performing.
When student Haley Lebherz first came to CAA in 2019, she was looking for a place where she could grow, connect with others, and continue to learn more about her interests. Years later, CAA has become a community she deeply values, and a place where she feels supported while doing the things she loves.
She loves exploring her interests and forming bonds with others in her classes. One of Haley’s biggest interests is art, and she loves learning how to express herself in new mediums in her different art classes.
Haley first learned about CAA when she was in the hospital, someone visited and spoke about all the classes that were offered. That introduction opened the door to a community that quickly became an important part of her life. Today, one of her favorite qualities about CAA is the sense of belonging she feels going to class every day.
Haley enjoys expressing herself creatively and takes multiple art and dance classes at CAA, her favorite classes are currently ceramics and hip hop dance. Through these classes, she’s been able to build confidence, have fun, and connect with friends who share similar interests. Her creative side also extends beyond the classroom through photography, which is what she enjoys doing in her free time. Haley loves how pictures allow you to capture a moment, and come back to that memory when you see the photo.
Outside of school, Haley also enjoys spending time with her family. She has two brothers, one older and one younger, along with three dogs at home who keep life fun and busy.
Whether she’s dancing, creating art, or taking photos, Haley brings positivity and creativity into the CAA community.
