Vocal Arts

Emphasis on vocal training includes techniques in such areas as breathing, projection, articulation, posture, pitch recognition, note reading, and blending with an ensemble. Students who love to sing and take part in Vocal Arts courses may have opportunities to perform in CAA’s Concert Choirs.

Instrumental Studies

  • Introduction to Theory/Rythm and Tempo

Coursework includes guitar, percussion and other rotating musical instruments, including use of adaptive tools such as the Chord Buddy. Students of all levels are welcome, from beginners to those with previous experience in music study. The only pre-requisite is a love of music.

Music Production

In Digital Music courses, students work in our music lab to create and record original instrumental and vocal work.


Songwriting students learn the craft of song creation, including music and lyrics, using popular formulas and through invention of their own song structure.
